Roberto Vaccaro

ROBERTO VACCARO

Roberto Vaccaro is a metal sculptor from the Garden Route, South Africa, mainly focused on wildlife and human form.

This brochure is a selection of Roberto’s recent works, aimed at showcasing the diversity of the medium used. The pieces’ impressive size and strength sets his pieces apart and makes them consume, yet compliment, the spaces they occupy.

While mostly naturalist, the animal forms have surreal and impressionistic influences. This Is achieved by Roberto’s mastery over his medium, stretching the raw elements to their limits by melting, forging, cutting, welding, and bending it to his will.

By using discarded metal, the artist merges waste and wildlife, provoking themes of sustainability and environmentalism.
